Four AEHT Medals for Mondriaan

Last week the 37th International AEHT Conference and Competitions took place in Riga, Latvia. In addition to being a very instructive and fun competition for our students, it was an intensive and exciting experience and it was held on a very diverse international stage.

After a period of intensive training (see our previous news message), our students had to compete in no less than 11 competitions last week. This was successfully completed: four times our students won medals and during the festive Gala Dinner last Friday evening, the medals could proudly be collected.

And …. the winners are:
– Carving: Matthijs Frijlink  >  silver
– Culinary Art: Mees Blankert  >  silver
– Decathlon: Jim van Maaren  >  silver
– Vegetarian Culinary Art: Remco Zuijderduijn  >  bronze

The Hospitality Campus of ROC Mondriaan participated with students from the International Hotel and Management School, the School for Hospitality and Facility Services and the School for Tourism, Recreation and Events.

In addition to the competitions, there were workshops, master classes and excursions.
