Start of Culinary Zoetermeer

On July 1, the festive kick-off of the three-day festival Culinary Zoetermeer 2022 took place. ROC Mondriaan has been associated as a partner to this event for many years. This year at least 400 students and a large kitchen brigade representing our campus were spread out over various participating HORECA / catering companies throughout the festival. After the opening speech and interviews with, among others, the IHMS director Jacqueline van der Zwan and with Frank Plaatsman, both on behalf of the hospitality campus of our ROC, the official opening was made by Alderman Jan Iedema. Entirely in the style of the festival, he sabered a bottle of Champagne Magnum and then the culinary festival was able to get off to a successful start on the sun-drenched site in the Stadshart of Zoetermeer.  The festival lasted until Sunday, July 3 and was a great success!
