On 13 April, two outstanding students from our school had the opportunity to take part in Talent van de Toekomst: Lorena Kalloe and Indy Kragt. This annual competition, held at the Miele Experience Centre in Vianen, welcomed around 15 participating vocational hospitality schools competing in both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
The assignments included:
During the competition, particular attention was paid to the communication between the guests and the participants.
The students had prepared thoroughly, both at school and at the training company of one of the participants. The organisers had chosen high, long tables for the event, which made both communication with the guests and serving them particularly challenging. Despite these obstacles, our students delivered an excellent performance.
They gained valuable experience in performing under pressure and collaborating both with each other and with other teams.
Teacher and coach Eduard van der Toolen was incredibly proud of both students, who had the honour of representing our school during this prestigious competition.
